aap Implantate AG receives DM 5.9 million development order - the largest in the company´s history

aap Implantate AG has received from HJS Gelenk System GmbH a development order worth 5,919,000 Deutsche marks. HJS holds several patents and has applied for others relating to artificial joints for use in endoprosthetics of the human knee. HJS also possesses know-how in respect of artificial joint heads.

The order is for the development of marketable knee implants and of surgical tools to insert them on the basis of HJS´s patents and patents applied for. aap will assume responsibility, on the basis of its own experience, for project, development, manufacturing and licensing work and for project management as a whole.

The entire development project is scheduled for completion over the next three and a half years.
